Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German film and television actress best known for her performances in movies such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra was the only child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. At the age of sixteen, she had been offered a variety of television roles for instance, the lead in Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Following her critically-acclaimed character in the TV movie Der Tunnel, Alexandra went into other notable roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge on Downfall. Downfall received nominations for an Oscar and received critical and commercial great success. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films starring this stunning actress. Through the years, Alexandra has been involved in a variety of notable international and national projects. These projects included British biographical film Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. She also served part of the jury for the Transylvania International Film Festival, and at Cannes Film Festival.
