Aisling Bea

Aisling is a popular Irish comedian that has been in the business for a long time. Born in Kildare, Ireland on 16th March 1984. Bea was on the show with Stephen Fry on QI. Aisling CliodhnadhSullivan (born 16 March 1984) who is also known by the name Aisling bea Aisling Cliodhnadh Sullivan, is an Irish comedian, writer and actress. Bea's acting career started in the year 2011, as a stand-up comedian, following her appearance in a few parts on Irish and British TV series starting in the year 2009. In 2012, she began to regularly appear on sketch and sitcoms. After winning an award in the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began to appear regularly on various panel shows where she is now a regular. Between 2016 and 2017, she served as a captain on 8 Out of 10 Cats and is a frequent contestant for the spinoff 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was the daughter of Brian as well as Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister named Sinead. She was only the second ever female winner of So You Think You're Funny. The surname she uses is Bea to pay tribute to her late father. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan, born Kildare town County Kildare on 16 March 1984. The father of Bea was Brian was a veterinarian for horses who committed suicide at three-years-old. She didn't discover the reason for her father's death until 13 years later. Her stage name Bea is a tribute to her father. Bea was the author of an opinion piece for The Guardian, published in 2017 about her experiences with suicide. Bea (and her younger sister Sinead) were brought up in a home by Helen Moloney who was a educator and jockey trainer who was also a professional jockey. The family was obsessed with horses and racing. Bea was a child a Tour Guide in the Irish National Stud. From a very young age, Bea knew that she didn't want the racing industry. Instead she loved the performance arts.
